“There is no exquisite beauty… without some strangeness in the proportion.”
– Edgar Allan Poe
You may be wondering why you’re seeing a sudden influx of florals and still life in my socials. I’ve been wanting to start fine art printing for a while now, but always got stuck with the what and the how. Enter the Ipswich Plant and Lifestyle Fair. I jumped at the chance and gave myself a goal and a date (and it seems to be working!). The fair is in Tulmur Place on the 2nd of November, 8am until noon and I’ll be there selling prints, chatting and drinking coffee. I’d love to see you there too. Here is a small sample of the prints I’ll have available to purchase.
If you’ve been following along for a while, you’ll know that I’ve started and stopped a few projects over the years. I am the first to admit that I have no idea what I’m doing or why at the time, but piece by piece, things come together and make sense. It’s been the discipline of “doing the work” that’s really unlocked my creative brain. I have a very clear understanding of who I am as a portrait photographer and now I finally have a clear vision of where I’d like to take “my art” in the New Year.
I am looking forward to sharing the journey with you.
