Hitting the Streets
I’m really loving interspersing my portraits with a bit of Urban Photography – especially here in Ipswich. It’s such a gorgeous city with a real mix of the old and the new.
I’ve got a long way to go (there’s always a long way to go), but using the Sweet 35 lens and editing in this grainy, “desaturated” way is ticking all my boxes. I’m hoping it ticks more people’s boxes too. It’d be cool to see these up on the walls of local Ipswich Homes and Offices.
Up until now, I’ve been exploring noon day sun. The heat has certainly crept up early this year. Maybe it’s early, it feels early – maybe it’s not and it’s right on time. Regardless, no more noon day sun until Autumn next year.
There’s a group of awesome women I catch up at the beginning of each month to walk and talk and photograph things. It’s wonderful to see how different we see the same thing and I’m looking forward to developing my eye for Urban.
