What is a CPP and why it should matter to you.

What is a CPP and why it should matter to you.

I’ve been the President at the Professional Photographers’ Association of Queensland for just over a two years now.  I am passionate about providing a platform for the growth and promotion of the Professional Photography Industry in Queensland. I’m also passionate about helping everyone who’s thinking about hiring a photographer understand the importance of looking for a Certified Professional.

Our members are know as CPPs (Certified Professional Photographers).

So why should these three letters matter to you?

Our members undertake a rigorous screening process which includes a 20 image portfolio critique, hold a current ABN, public liability insurance policy and maintain a professional online presence. They agree to uphold a Code of Conduct. Our CPPs need to have been in business for a minimum of two years before they can even apply for membership.

You can trust a CPP.

Finding a photographer who’s the right fit for you can be difficult. The photography industry is largely unregulated and there are an awful lot of people out there claiming to be that which they are not. Choosing a CPP is the first step in a decision you can have confidence in.

Look for the logo. Ask questions. Be curious. You deserve that, your photography matters – You Matter.
