Amanda Waschevski | BIO

Amanda Waschevski is an Australian portrait photographer.

Largely self taught, Amanda is endlessly excited about continued education within her profession. She now owns and operates the Ipswich Photography Studio and is the current president of the Professional Photographers’ Association of Queensland.

Further career highlights include being offered a place in the 2023 Salon des Refuses, running alongside the Brisbane Portrait Prize, and being the first photographer in the southern hemisphere to be awarded The Portraitist by the Headshot Crew.

Amanda has always been fascinated by the distance between who people are and how they present themselves. This has served as the curiosity behind and the foundation of her approach to her photography. She is currently working on a body of work called Finding Lilith. Through associated exhibitions, installations and campaigns, she hopes this work will connect women with their own inner worlds.
